Music Startup Fuzz Debuts

FUZZ has been launched as a music label, artist promotion platform and interactive community of artists and fans at Fuzz.com. Artists can use FUZZ to promote, stream and sell their music (and, soon, merchandise and concert tickets); artists can also track and analyze sales, fan demographics, the success of their marketing campaigns, and more.
"We believe the best way to build a new business model is to look at what the artist needs, and build the company from the ground up based on those ideals, which we have articulated in the FUZZ Manifesto," said CEO JEFF YASUDA, who has experience in venture capital and investment banking.
Besides YASUDA, the leadership team includes VP/Label CHRIS SKARAKIS, an early GOOGLE employee; VP/Marketing KAREN CHAKMAKIAN, the co-founder of iPASS; VP/Media Relations BILL BENTLEY, formerly with WARNER BROS. RECORDS; CTO MIKE ELDREDGE, previously with MANUGUISTICS; VP/Engineering FRED MATTESON, formerly of CHARLES SCHWAB; VP/Licensing & Chief Counsel BRIAN VENNEMAN, who has legal experience in private equity and technology; Sr. Dir./Artist Development MICHAEL URBANO, a professional drummer; and Sr. Dir./Business Development MAUREEN HERMAN, ex-member of BABES IN TOYLAND and a writer for ROLLING STONE.
