PRESS COMMUNICATIONS AC simulcast WWZY & WBHX (THE BREEZE)/MONMOUTH-OCEAN Director/Programming MIKE FITZGERALD names 25-year radio veteran and former WCBS/NEW YORK personality RANDY DAVIS for afternoons, effective MONDAY (7/16).
According to FITZGERALD, "THE BREEZE is very lucky to have one of the legendary voices of NEW YORK radio on our airwaves. RANDY and I have been friends for years, and I'm looking forward to working with him again. RANDY brings loads of experience and a passion for the music and we’re excited to add him to our weekday line-up."
DAVIS replaces KAPTAIN JACK APONTE, who has moved to Country clustermate WKMK (K98.5) for mornings. A 33-year radio veteran, APONTE had previously hosted mornings at WJRZ/MONMOUTH-OCEAN when it was "Jersey Shore Country."
In other K98.5 news, PD JIM RADLER segues from mornings to afternoons, afternooner LEE ANN TAYLOR will move to middays, and MARTY MITCHELL will remain on the 7p-midnight slot.
