ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY's SUN DEVIL SPORTS NETWORK inks a three-year extension of its deal with BONNEVILLE RADIO PHOENIX for radio rights to the school's football and men's basketball programs. The cluster's Sports KTAR-A (SPORTS 620)/PHOENIX will serve as flagship for ASU football and men's basketball, and will carry 90-minute football pre- and post-game shows and 30-minute basketball pre- and post-game shows. TIM HEALEY continues as play-by-play voice for both sports, with JEFF VAN RAAPHORST returning as football color analyst and AMY BENDER as sideline host. HEALEY will also be involved in cut-in segments on SPORTS 620's morning and evening shows with SUN DEVILS coaches.
"We are very excited and enthusiastic to be able to continue our partnership agreement with BONNEVILLE RADIO PHOENIX, KTAR and ERIK HELLUM," said ASU Director of Athletics LISA LOVE. "This agreement provides continuity for us, our sports programs and our fans, by remaining on KTAR 620 AM. The audience penetration, KTAR's increased ratings and their expanded programming are tremendous features of this partnership."
"For decades, KTAR and ASU have had an excellent partnership," said BONNEVILLE PHOENIX GM ERIK HELLUM. "However, with KTAR-AM's evolution to ARIZONA's first major league all sports radio station and ASU's great commitment to success on the field and on the court, I believe that our best years are in front of us."
