Condolences to family and friends of Spanish media giant GRUPO PRISA Chairman JESUS DE POLANCO (JESUS POLANCO GUTIERREZ), who died at 77 in MADRID of an "unspecified rheumatic disease." DE POLANCO co-founded and owned almost two-thirds of PRISA, the company that owns SPAIN's largest newspaper, EL PAIS, and several radio and television outlets as well as a U.S. syndication division, GRUPO LATINO DE RADIO, that operates Spanish Talk XETRA-A (W RADIO)/ROSARITO-SAN DIEGO-LOS ANGELES and WSUA-A (CARACOL 1260)/MIAMI.
POLANCO's son IGNACIO POLANCO MORENO was chosen earlier this year as DE POLANCO's successor.
