FCC Sets FY 2007 Regulatory Fees

The FCC has released its annual order setting forth the regulatory fees for the current fiscal year. The FCC must collect $290,295,160 under the budget approved by Congress, and the Commission will try to collect the money during a SEPTEMBER filing window. The fees were based on the same methodology as for last year's fees. Fees for radio stations range from $625 for an AM Class A station serving under 25,000 people to $9.125 for Class B, C, C0, C1, and C2 stations in markets over three million in population.
