iPhone Sales Top 1 Million

IPHONE sales have passed the 1 million mark. STEVE JOBS announced the important sales benchmark yesterday, meeting his previously stated goal of selling 1 million devices by the end of APPLE's current quarter at the end of the month, reports THE NEW YORK POST.
JOBS is hoping to put doubts about acceptance of the IPHONE to rest with the latest sales update. In making the announcement APPLE noted that it took just 74 days to reach 1 million sales for the IPHONE vs. two years for the IPOD.
Meanwhile, APPLE is expected to announce details on the $100 store credit it is issuing to irked customers -- who bought the IPHONE at the higher price -- as soon as later this week, sources said.
Also expected later in the week: the launch of the IPOD TOUCH -- an IPOD that looks and acts like the IPHONE -- as well as a new wireless version of the ITUNES store and a ring tone offering as soon as this week.
