Knight Rules The Day at B101

WEAZ AC WBEB (B101)/PHILADELPHIA has selected CHUCK KNIGHT as the new PD, replacing CHRIS CONLEY who resigned in late AUGUST (NET NEWS 9/4) to launch a consultancy company, with B101 as his initial client. KNIGHT will start at B101 on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th.

"We’re delighted that CHUCK is going to join our team," said VP/GM BLAISE HOWARD. "It’s great when you meet someone who you immediately connect with and who also has the skill sets necessary to take our strategy to the next level. His successful track record, his strategic thinking ability and his understanding of the AC format was too good to pass up."

KNIGHT spent the last 11 years working for SAGA AC WSNY/COLUMBUS. He also programmed WYXR/PHILADELPHIA, WENS/INDIANAPOLIS, KRNQ/DES MOINES and KLXR/LA CROSSE.

Asking Listeners To Make Them Fresh

Meaanwhile, the station has posted a notice on its website asking listeners to participate in an online music test tomorrow (9/18) from noon-2p ET. After the test, WBEB will become "FRESH MUSIC B-101."

Listeners will be able to participate in an online survey while hearing hundreds of song snippets from the entire B-101 library to decide which songs are keepers and which have to go. For more information, click here.
