KING'S KIDS Contemporary Christian CKKK (KAOS 90.5 FM)/PETERBOROUGH, ON has gone silent on terrestrial radio for now as the station struggles with reception problems following its move from 99.5 FM. The station moved in AUGUST to make way for CHUM/CTVGLOBEMEDIA AC CKPT (ENERGY 99.3), which moved to 99.3 FM from its former AM slot. The station continues to stream at its website but is off the broadcast air until the transmission difficulties can be solved.
The station has issued a release saying, "Since the move to 90.5 the KAOS signal has been poor quality and as a result the decision has been made to temporarily suspend their terrestrial broadcast. KAOS 90.5 continues to serve their many web based listeners at www.kaosradio.com.... 'We thank God for the many advertisers, sponsors and supporters of our unique station and vision,' states RICK KIRSCHNER, the General Manager of KAOS Radio. 'We want to confirm our commitment to do all we can to deliver quality radio. We are excited about the new programs we have scheduled for the fall which are a response to the requests of members of our community.'"
