CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WLW-A CINCINNATI may be in hot water again. A few weeks after getting called on the carpet by Hispanic groups for what the group claimed to be anti-Latino marketing campaigns, WLW host BILL CUNNINGHAM enraged the Muslim interest group CAIR by asserting that one of the goals of Islam to is have "sex with children for eternity."
The CINCINNATI office of the COUNCIL ON AMERICAN-ISLAMIC RELATIONS' OHIO chapter (CAIR-OHIO) demands that CUNNINGHAM be reprimanded for saying YESTERDAY (10/1) that "The great war of this generation's time is the war against Islamic fascists ... They do not live for life, they live for death. Only through death can they believe they can be with those 72 virgins in heaven and have sex with children for eternity, which is the goal of that religion."
CAIR provided audio of the incident on CUNNINGHAM's show in its press release.
The incident comes at a particuarly sensitive time for CUNNINGHAM. Recently, he felt compelled to apologize to CINCINNATI REDS player ADAM DUNN for suggesting on-air that DUNN played while inebriated. This new commment comes just days before his "Voice of the Common Man" show will replace MATT DRUDGE's SUNDAY show and be syndicated nationally on 325 stations.
