Praver Is EVP/COO AT NPR; Report: Duffy Named Managing Editor

HILLCREST LABS EVP/Business Development and Sales MITCH PRAVER has been named EVP/COO of NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO, effective OCTOBER 29th. PRAVER, who previously served as an executive at NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC VENTURES, DISCOVERY NETWORKS, BELL ATLANTIC's STARGAZER, LIFETIME, KATZ MEDIA GROUP and ABC TV, will report to CEO KEN STERN and will oversee NPR's day-to-day operations.
"NPR has embarked on an ambitious multi-year business plan to serve the public radio community on all digital platforms," said STERN. "MITCH has a proven record of growing the reach and service of established, respected companies and I look forward to his leadership as we work toward expanding the public service mission of NPR in the coming years."
Report: Duffy Named NPR Managing Editor
The NEW YORK POST reports that former U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT Editor BRIAN DUFFY has been named Managing Editor at NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO.
DUFFY, who has no radio experience, had worked at the magazine for 16 years and was named Editor in 2001. He has also worked for the WASHINGTON POST and WALL STREET JOURNAL.
