ROGERS BROADCASTING's THE FAN SPORTS RADIO NETWORK inks a deal to be the exclusive terrestrial radio rights holder for the CANADIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE's GREY CUP title game in 2007 and 2008. The network is based at ROGERS Sports CJCL-A (590 THE FAN)/TORONTO. TSN's CFL broadcasters CHRIS CUTHBERT and GLEN SUITOR will call the action. SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO holds satellite rights to the game, which will be held NOVEMBER 25 at TORONTO's ROGERS CENTRE this year.
"The CFL is thrilled to have the GREY CUP produced by THE FAN SPORTS RADIO NETWORK which is one of the premier sports radio networks in NORTH AMERICA," said CFL VP of Broadcasting and Media Assets CHRIS MCCRACKEN. "We are also very pleased to have CHRIS and GLEN calling the game. They provide excellent continuity and familiarity for our listeners. They are also among the best broadcasters in the country; we know they will provide insightful and entertaining commentary of the game."
"The GREY CUP is the biggest single day sporting event in CANADA and we are excited to deliver it to radio listeners across the country for the next two years," said 590 THE FAN VP/GM/PD NELSON MILLMAN.
