Fresh off selling mobile media research firm BRIDGE RATINGS to an unnamed broadcasting entity, DAVE VAN DYKE gets back into radio proper by taking the VP/Affiliate Relations gig at ABC RADIO NETWORKS. VAN DYKE's new duties will oversee News/Talk affiliate relations for all products, including ABC NEWS RADIO. He will be based in ABC RADIO NETWORKS' DALLAS headquarters.
"There’s no doubt that DAVE is the person that can help move our business forward," stated SVP/Affiliate Relations Worldwide TJ LAMBERT. "He has a unique perspective and experience in radio; he’s been on-air, managed several of the best stations in the country and consulted a lot more of them. He knows what station management needs to accomplish and he’s got the background to help them choose the best programming to reach those goals."
VAN DYKE boasts a lengthy radio resume, most recently as VP/GM of CBS RADIO Classic Hits KCBS/LOS ANGELES. His management experience includes running stations in DALLAS, DENVER, PORTLAND and BOSTON, where he also acted as corporate programming consultant for Group Stations.
VAN DYKE also co-created, developed and engineered the "All Rock & Roll Oldies" radio format, aka Classic Hits, originated on KCBS (THE ARROW)/LOS ANGELES in 1993.
