November 23, 2005 at 9:22 AM (PT)
NAB has joined with RADD (RECORDING ARTISTS, ACTORS, AND ATHLETES AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING), the AD COUNCIL and the NAT'L HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION to create and distribute new PSAs featuring celebrities cuh as BLACK EYED PEAS, GAVIN DEGRAWM BRAD PAISLEY, JULIA ROBERTS, SIMPLE PLAN, RON WOOD, and many more for the "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Drunk" campaign. NAB encourages stations to air the PSAs during the holiday season -- between Thanksgiving and New Year's -- one of the deadliest and most dangerous times of the year due to an increase in drunk driving.
The 89 holiday and all-season PSAs in both English and Spanish were mailed to radio stations in OCTOBER. Stations that still need the PSAs can contact NAB National Campaigns at email@example.com or (202) 429-5448.
