Something 'Beautiful' Going Away In Big D?

ROBERT PHILPOT in THE STAR-TELEGRAM writes, CLEAR CHANNEL/DALLAS Pres./Market Mgr. J.D. FREEMAN tells him that come midnight tonight, Spanish-language KEGL/97.1 FM "LA PRECIOSA" will be Spanish-language no more. The station will go to an all-holiday format, then come back after CHRISTMAS as an English-language station.
FREEMAN declined to disclose what the new format will be, indicating that a final decision hasn't been made. This will be the third format change at KEGL since 2004, when the long reign of the late, lamented hard-rock "THE EAGLE" came to an end to make room for light-rock "SUNNY," which went away within a year to become "LA PRECIOSA."
