Soon after celebrating his 20th years at MAIN LINE BROADCASTING Top 40/Mainstream WDJX/LOUISVILLE morning fixture PETER B announced that he will draw his 31-year radio career to a close. PETER B. will remain on-air at WDJX through the first part of 2008 while a nationwide search is conducted for his replacement.
"It is with a great deal of sadness but excitement for the future that, after 20 years, I have decided to step down from my position as morning show co-host on 99.7 DJ," he said. "In the last few years I have experienced an ever growing sense that I am being called into deeper and more meaningful service to God and the Catholic Church. While I am not sure yet where this will lead me, I am sure that it is time to concentrate my efforts on this discernment."
"PETE’s not only a great co-worker but a very close friend and without question, he’s one of the most talented people I've ever worked with," WDJX PD SHANE COLLINS said. "However, his decision to leave is really bittersweet for me. I won't have the pleasure of listening to his show on my drive to work in the morning, but I'm very happy that he'll be pursuing something near and dear to his heart. I wish him well."
