December 12, 2007 at 9:46 AM (PT)
The FCC has dismissed COMMUNITY BROADCAST GROUP's Petition for Reconsideration of an $11,000 fine for public file violations and operation not in accordance with authorized facilities at KZEY-A/TYLER, TX. The Commission dismissed the petition as untimely, and notes that even if it was filed on time, the petition consisted merely of a sentence stating "please consider this letter as a petition for reconsideration" with no other grounds for reconsideration stated.
The Commission also proposed fines for late license renewal applications against LANE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 4J ($500 for K211BP/FLORENCE, OR), THE ALAMO NAVAJO SCHOOL BOARD, INC. ($7,000 for KABR-A/ALAMO COMMUNITY, NM), and RURAL OREGON WIRELESS TELEVISION, INC. ($500 each for K208DB and K234AD/ENTERPRISE, OR).
