An online talent search competition, entitled "You Bring The Talent," has been created by UBER.COM in conjunction with A&R WORLDWIDE’s MUSEXPO, ATLANTIC RECORDS, PEER MUSIC PUBLISHING REBEL GROUP/ADA DISTRIBUTION and THE AGENCY GROUP.
"You Bring the Talent" will reward the winning undiscovered musicians/performers a major label demo deal, as well as publishing, distribution and booking opportunities. The winners are flown to LOS ANGELES to perform a concert at the HOUSE OF BLUES for attendees of MUSEXPO in April 2008. The prize package also includes booking assistance from THE AGENCY GROUP, a guaranteed distribution arrangement with THE REBEL GROUP at ADA DISTRIBUTORS, and a chance to have their material licensed through the PEER MUSIC PUBLISHING, who are donating the studio and engineer for the demo.
"This is the chance of a lifetime for up-and-coming artists to jumpstart their career and get their music heard by music industry decision makers from around the world at MUSEXPO," said UBER.COM head MICHAEL STEELE. "We can't wait to see how the entrants use the UBER platform to get out there and be heard."
The influential media convergence conference MUSEXPO will invite the first runner-up to contribute a song to the MUSEXPO 2008 CD sampler, which will be distributed to each one of the conference’s estimated 1,000 global attendees. "For an artist to be able to achieve access to a multiple array of opportunities with established companies in the music, distribution, publishing and booking arena is unprecedented," A&R WORLDWIDE’s MUSEXPO Founder SAT BISLA said. "UBER.COM’s event at MUSEXPO with the world’s top music, media and technology leaders in attendance is a priceless opportunity."
