The MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE's JUDD ZULGAD reports that CBS Talk WCCO-A/MINNEAPOLIS and the NHL's MINNESOTA WILD are close to a new multi-year deal to keep the team's games on the station. WILD VP/Communications and Broadcasting BILL ROBERTSON told ZULGAD that the talks are "making great progress" and another source told the paper that a deal is "just about done."
The WILD has appeared on WCCO since joining the league in 2000, and its present three-year deal expires at the end of this season.
