Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs Set Broadcast Crew

Veteran minor league baseball broadcaster MATT PROVENCE will handle play-by-play of LEHIGH VALLEY IRON PIGS games for the team's inaugural season in the INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE. PROVENCE, who has worked for the NORWICH NAVIGATORS, LYNCHBURG HILLCATS and DAYTONA CUBS, will also appear on the IRON PIGS' TV broadcasts.

The new team's Manager of Media Relations and Advertising JON SCHAEFFER will also handle radio play-by-play for middle innings for home and some road games and will host pre- and post-game shows. THOMAS VIOLA will serve as studio analyst and will produce and engineer the broadcasts, and former PHILLIES reliever RICKY BOTTALICO is scheduled to handle color commentary for the team's broadcasts and TV coverage, with SERVICE ELECTRIC CABLE 2 SPORTS' MIKE ZAMBELLI handling TV play-by-play, GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN-A/PHILADELPHIA morning co-host MEREDITH MARAKOVITS as TV features reporter, and WFMZ-TV/ALLENTOWN Sports Dir. TROY HEIN appearing on the team's SATURDAY telecasts.

The IRON PIGS, the Triple-A affiliate of the PHILLIES moving to ALLENTOWN from OTTAWA for this season, will air on LEHIGH CARBON COMMUNITY COLLEGE noncommercial WXLV/SCHNECKSVILLE-ALLENTOWN and CLEAR CHANNEL digital WZZO-HD-2 this season.
