It's 'Pay For Play' At KFRC
January 18, 2008 at 5:44 AM (PT)
CBS Classic Hits KFRC/SAN FRANCISCO morning maven DAVE SHOLIN is helping a little boy from OAKLAND, who is in Children's Hospital. The 10-year-old boy was paralyzed last week by a stray bullet during piano class. As CHRISTOPHER RODRIGUEZ continues to recover SHOLIN and CELESTE PERRY wanted to do something to help him and his parents with the mounting bills.
So, it's "Pay For Play" time!
SHOLIN commented that, "we have been trying to come up with a way to help the family and this is the logical thing to do. By putting the giant KFRC library to use and involving the generosity of our listeners, I know we can help the RODRIGUEZ family!"
Beginning TODAY (1/18) at 5:30a, SHOLIN and PERRY will take requests for every song played on KFRC to help raise money -- and they’ll stay on the air as long as it takes to reach their goal. PERRY said, "We can be bribed. For the right donation, we’ll play just about anything!"
