The FOUNDATION OF AMERICAN WOMEN IN RADIO & TELEVISION enters into a new strategic alliance with the FORD MOTOR COMPANY FUND, the philanthropic arm of FORD MOTOR COMPANY, that will deliver innovative learning tools about pioneering American women to underprivileged middle schools across the country. Under the partnership, FORD MOTOR COMPANY FUND will support the development of educational collateral based on the AWRT Empowering America initiative, a public service campaign that profiles inspiring women who have blazed trails in a range of areas, including science, literature, social reform, public service, sports, broadcasting, music and aviation.
"Our alliance with FORD MOTOR COMPANY FUND is historic," said AWRT 2007-2008 Chair MARY BENNETT, EVP/Marketing for the RAB. "First, it’s the first time we’re partnering with this organization that shares our values and goals. And second, it’s allowing us to take Empowering America to the next level, and to reach many more students that we ever have before."
