Big 100.3 Does 'Nothing' For The Big Game This Sunday

On FEBRUARY 3rd, as the eyes of the world focus on GLENDALE, AZ and the big game, BIG 100.3 is giving your ears one less thing to worry about. For the second year in a row, CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Hits WBIG (BIG 100.3)/WASHINGTON, D.C. will do ...absolutely nothing.
Not, as in, "nothing different," but, quite literally, absolutely nothing. During the four hours of scheduled game coverage, BIG 100.3 will offer no music, no news, no advertisements -- no programming of any kind.
PD DAN MICHAELS says it’s an easy decision. "Last year, over 93 million people watched the game on television, and a majority of those who weren’t in front of their sets, were listening to it on the radio. Why on earth would we want to potentially distract that many people? We’re looking at this as a public service."
MICHAELS guarantees that regular programming will resume once the new professional football champion has been decided.
