Fund Reaches Out To Public Radio Employee Tornado Victims
February 6, 2008 at 5:50 PM (PT)
The COLLEAGUES HELPING COLLEAGUES FUND is reaching out to public radio employees who have sustained losses in the tornadoes that ripped across the SOUTH on TUESDAY night. Anyone who works for a public radio station may apply to the Fund to replace a financial loss not covered by insurance. Public radio fundraising and marketing service organization DEI administers the fund, at no charge, on behalf of everyone who works for stations in the public radio system.
Funds are available to assist with personal expenses for the employee and his/her family, including but not limited to lodging, food, transportation, medical care and other identified expenses. An independent panel, composed of public board members of public radio industry organizations, will review each request.
Those eligible for assistance should contact DEI's President DOUG EICHTEN at firstname.lastname@example.org or (612) 677-1505 to obtain the proper documents for submitting a request.
