WNYE/N.Y. To Carry Programming From KEXP/Seattle

The UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON's noncommercial AAA KEXP/SEATTLE will provide 39 hours of music programming per week to the NEW YORK BOARD OF EDUCATION/NYC MEDIA GROUP's noncommercial WNYE-F (RADIO NEW YORK 91.5 FM)/NEW YORK. The partnership is being called "RADIO LIBERATION" and includes a three-hour morning show for NEW YORK, plus a simulcast of the SEATTLE morning show with JOHN RICHARDS, an hour of music at midnight ET seven days a week, and a two-hour show hosted by KEXP PD KEVIN COLE on THURSDAYS.
"This partnership will not only give greater voice to artists from the NORTHWEST, NEW YORK and around the world, it will bring music that matters into the lives of more listeners than ever before," said KEXP Exec. Dir. TOM MARA.
