C-Bomb Dropped On Today Show
February 14, 2008 at 6:55 AM (PT)
JANE FONDA stunned TV viewers this morning by saying "the C-word" on THE TODAY SHOW. FONDA was on the show as part of a discussion about the 15th Anniversary of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, when she clearly said the word during an interview.
Interviewer MEREDITH VIEIRA said nothing, but came back after a commercial break and issued an apology.
Whether this will be another test of the FCC's "fleeting expletives" policy is yet to be seen.
In JANUARY, DIANE KEATON blurted out the "f-word" on GOOD MORNING AMERICA (NET NEWS 1/16). KEATON, promoting her new movie "MAD MONEY," complimented host DIANE SAWYER's lips and mused that if she herself had such lips, she would not have had to work on her "f--king personality."
