Just in time for DAYTONA, BLUEWATER BROADCASTING Talk-Oldies WACV-A/MONTGOMERY, AL grabs NASCAR SPRINT CUP coverage dropped by crosstown CUMULUS Sports WMSP-A (SPORTSRADIO 740). WACV GM TERRY BARBER told the MONTGOMERY ADVERTISER that he was surprised to learn late last week that WMSP had dropped the race coverage and quickly snapped up the rights. "Right now, we've just committed to the big races," said BARBER. "But we'll evaluate things in a few weeks and see if want to add the SATURDAY (NATIONWIDE SERIES) races, too."
The paper also reports that WMSP is also adding a local sports show, "THE ROUNDTABLE" with DOUG AMOS and JOSH MOON, for noon-2p weekdays.
