Longtime BOSTON radio personality MOE LAUZIER has exited ENTERCOM Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON after nearly 25 years with the station. LAUZIER told listeners that last SATURDAY's show (2/23) would be his last at WRKO; on his blog, LAUZIER noted that he got the word from his producer, adding "The management of WRKO I’ve loyally served in all its interests for all those years could not see fit to inform me personally of their plans to make these changes. Some say first impressions are often the last. Not in this case; the only foul taste was the lack of consideration in having a producer carry the message. JASON WOLF (sic), are you listening?"
A statement attributed to PD JASON WOLFE said, "There is unprecedented and incredible interest in WRKO right now from companies that would like to gain maximum exposure for their products. We will work with each and every one of them to exhaust every opportunity that is available, in order to make the best business decision for the radio station."
