Univision Q4 And 2007 Financials Up

UNIVISION COMMUNICATIONS has reported financial for the fourth quarter and for 2007. The Company saw net revenues rise by 13.3% for UNIVISION RADIO, to $115.1 million from $101.6 million, in the fourth quarter of 2007. For the full year, UNIVISION RADIO's revenues rose by 12.7% to $429.9 million from $381.6 million.
For 2007, UNIVISION's net revenue increased 8.4%, to $2.1 billion from $1.9 billion in 2006, excluding 2006 FIFA World Cup revenues of $113.6 million. Including the World Cup revenue in '06, net revenues were up 2.3 percent. Adjusted operating income before depreciation and amortization rose 7.8% in 2007, to $863.2 million from $800.6 million.
For the year, UNIVISION's net loss was $314.8 million, versus net income of $349.2 million in 2006.
UNIVISION Pres./COO RAY RODRIGUEZ said, "Looking ahead to 2008, we are very well-positioned to build on the accomplishments of 2007 to drive continued growth."
UNIVISION MUSIC GROUP, which was just sold to UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP for $153 million, was classed as a discontinued operation and its results were not included.
