CMT One Country Gives $2500 For Award Winners' Charities

CMT ONE COUNTRY, CMT's pro-social initiative that promotes civic participation, has announced that they will donate $2500 to each 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARD winner's charity of their choice.
CMT Director of Public Affairs LUCIA FOLK said, "CMT ONE COUNTRY recognizes that our 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS nominees have causes which they hold near and dear to their heart, and we would like to showcase these important causes to the millions of fans who vote for their favorite artists. Much like the goal of CMT ONE COUNTRY to inspire others to take action and bring about change, we are proud to facilitate artists giving back to the community that has supported them in their successes.”
Fan voting for the 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS is taking place online at www.cmt.com from now until APRIL 11th. The show airs live from the CURB EVENT CENTER at BELMONT UNIVERSITY in NASHVILLE on APRIL 14th at 8p (ET/delayed PT) on CMT and CMT.com.
