SBS Hurban KXOL (LATINO 96.3)/LOS ANGELES got lots of press regarding an APRIL FOOL'S bit they ran.
Morning amigo KID CORONA tells ALL ACCESS, "Seems like we pulled off the best prank this year. Basically, we made up a fake trip to LONDON, ENGLAND with one of our artists, and one lucky listener had the chance to win by letting us know the what they were willing to do to win. Well, one women said she was willing to tattoo her two-year-old son for the tickets. We had her come in, had a tattoo artist and made it all happen on-air. We were then 'suspended,' and our GM made a statement that ran all day about the incident."
CORONA continued, "The cops showed up, Child Protective Services people showed up ... we had threats from attorneys, and listeners wanted us all fired and the Mom in jail for child abuse."
