91X Hires Mat Diablo & Mahoney For Mornings

New Morning Show Debuts 4/7

FINEST CITY BROADCASTING Alternative XTRA-F (91X)/SAN DIEGO names MAT DIABLO & MAHONEY for mornings, beginning MONDAY, APRIL 7th. THE 91X MORNING SHOW WITH MAT DIABLO & MAHONEY replaces CHRIS CANTORE, who exited back in late DECEMBER.

DIABLO comes to 91X from SLACKER.com, where he was PD/and music consultant. He previously was PD/mornings at JOURNAL Alternative KQXR/BOISE, ID.

JASON MAHONEY joins from CBS Alternative KXTE (X107.5)/LAS VEGAS. In addition to overnights, MAHONEY co-hosted the station's specialty show, "IT HURTS WHEN I PEE."

91X PD PHIL MANNING said, "These guys have a great deal of charisma, leadership and playfulness, which will translate into smart, funny radio for 91X listeners. This is not 'men running down the street in diapers' radio. This is ADULT SWIM meets THE DAILY SHOW."
