KFNS Fires Host Over Call-In Dustup

A controversy over allegedly putting ST. LOUIS CARDINALS pitching coach DAVE DUNCAN on the air without telling him has resulted in the firing of BIG LEAGUE BROADCASTING Sports KFNS-A-F/ST. LOUIS afternoon "THE BOTTOM LINE" host KEVIN SLATEN and producer EVAN MAKLOVSKY. SLATEN's name and other information about the show have been wiped from the KFNS website. The incident last week involved DUNCAN reiterating his desire not to be on SLATEN's show and telling SLATEN "you're a nasty man and I don't like you." DUNCAN is considering legal action and an FCC complaint over the call.
BRIAN STULL has been filling in for SLATEN since THURSDAY, and veteran sports radio host/producer CHADD SCOTT, who has been doing sports update anchoring and fill-in for KFNS sister Sports WQXI-A (790 THE ZONE)/ATLANTA, will be filling in TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY; he's still available for full-time work and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
