WYAK Flips Frequencies With WSYN, Becomes 'The Wolf'

CUMULUS Country WYAK/MYRTLE BEACH, SC has swapped frequencies with sister Oldies WSYN and will now be known as "THE WOLF." As of yesterday (4/7) at 6a (ET), WYAK moved to the 106.5 FM signal, playing 1,000 commercial-free songs in a row. They are expected to change their call letters to WLFF and switch their positioning statement from "Grand Strand's Country" to "Carolina Country."
This will end the 103.1 frequency's 30-year run as a Country station in MYRTLE BEACH. On THURSDAY (4/10) THE WOLF will introduce their new airstaff and to celebrate they will give away $1,000 on air.
"THE WOLF" PD JOEY DEE will do mornings, HEATHER STEVENS will be middays and NIGHT TRAIN LANE handle afternoon drive.
WSYN, now on 103.1 FM, will consist of JOHN BOY & BILLY for mornings, followed by DENNY JAMES for middays and SCOTT SHANNON's "TRUE OLDIES" satellite feed at 3p (ET).
