GLOBAL RADIO and CHANNEL 4 are considering the possibility of combining their digital radio operations, according to the FINANCIAL TIMES, which reports that no formal talks have taken place between the two U.K. media companies on the matter yet.
GLOBAL is inheriting GCAP MEDIA's digital operations after taking over that company, while CHANNEL 4 is part of the group that won the license for the second national digital radio multiplex. The FT also reports that the BBC may be involved in an eventual merging of GLOBAL and CHANNEL 4's digital operations.
