FCC Chairman KEVIN MARTIN told a press conference TODAY (5/23) that a decision on the satellite radio merger may come by the end of JUNE. He told reporters, "I still think the commission could act by the end of the second quarter" on the proposed SIRIUS-XM combination.
The merger was not on the tentative agenda for the Commission's JUNE 12 meeting, which is dealing with issues like television's digital transition, the do-not-call registry, and SKYPE, but has no radio issues listed.
