SHOW DOG RECORDS/NASHVILLE artist MICA ROBERTS, whose song 'Things A Mama Don't Know" is about domestic violence, is teaming up with VERIZON for a community service campaign in NORTH CAROLINA. The campaign is to raise awareness about domestic violence. ROBERTS will appear in VERIZON stores in CHARLOTTE and RALEIGH when she makes tour stops on TOBY KEITH's "Biggest and Baddest Tour."
VERIZON will establish used cell phone collection points at the shows for its Hope Line program, which donates proceeds from the sale of refurbished phones to assist victims of domestic violence. At her in-store appearances, MICA will perform as well as present a check from VERIZON to a local shelter.
