Classic Alternative 'The Source' Launches Nationwide
June 2, 2008 at 8:34 AM (PT)
Veteran Alternative Radio programmer DAN BINDER, in conjunction with programming consultant JACK TADDEO, has launched "THE SOURCE," a classic Alternative format that targets adults 30-49.
"This is truly a monumental day for me as a programmer and a radio guy!" BINDER said. "This product will not only bring back excitement to radio listening, but will also give broadcasting companies a viable format for their immediate and future needs. Having JACK TADDEO on board is a major win for me and our clients! JACK truly understands what it takes to have a successful product on the air and also is one of the most honest men in the business."
TADDEO adds, "THE SOURCE is truly the right format at the right time. DAN has hit on what I think is a perfect blend of familiarity and edge. THE SOURCE doesn't ignore the depth or roots of the Alternative format, and that's what makes its unique blend and deep catalog so appealing to the money demos station owners need to be financially viable. I urge anyone looking for a new option to look at THE SOURCE."
WEBX Flips To 'The Source'
JIM GLASSMAN's RADIOSTAR, INC. Alternative WEBX (93-5 THE ROCK)/CHAMPAIGN, IL flipped to "93.5 THE SOURCE" at 9:35a TODAY (6/2).
GLASSMAN said, "93.5 THE SOURCE" plays the music that many adults are eager to hear back on one radio station. We think we'll attract listeners from other stations and even attract some who may not be spending much time with radio because no station has played the classic Alternative we are now playing."
