Jocks Named For NME Radio Launch

New U.K. digital Alternative station NME RADIO, based on the iconic music magazine, has unveiled the talent in its initial lineup for its JUNE 24th launch. Former GCAP Alternative XFM and MTV2 personality CLAIRE STURGESS, comic NEIL COLE, and former YORKSHIRE RADIO host CHRIS MARTIN will be in the weekday lineup with NME RADAR Editor ALEX MILLER hosting a new music show and NME News Editor PAUL STOKES delivering news updates.
UNCUT magazine's MICHAEL BONNER will offer DVD and movie reviews. Weekend hosts will include NICK LUSCOMBE, EDWARD ADOO, BEN OSBOURNE, NICK NEW, and SARAH KERR.
The channel launches online and through SKY and VIRGIN MEDIA on JUNE 24 after repeated airings starting JUNE 9 of a special hosted by RICKY GERVAIS with his writing partner STEPHEN MERCHANT and producer/whipping buy KARL PILKINGTON. NME RADIO will also be offered on FM through special temporary short-term licenses, starting OCTOBER 6th in LONDON.
