JOURNAL Talk KQTH (104.1 THE TRUTH)/TUCSON morning man JON JUSTICE has garnered attention for his stance against illegal immigration, and he's getting plenty of attention from a local paper which is calling for local Hispanic groups to boycott the station.
The ARIZONA DAILY STAR, in an editorial approvingly citing the HISPANIC INSTITUTE's boycott of CNN's LOU DOBBS for his opinions on immigration, said SUNDAY that "we believe local groups could put pressure on TUCSON radio station 104.1-FM, which airs 'THE JON JUSTICE SHOW,' a morning program that repeats many of the claims made by LOU DOBBS and other anti-immigrant media personalities." The paper attempts to connect anti-immigrant violence to comments by DOBBS and others (although conceding that "not all this violence can be attributed to talk-show hosts like DOBBS") and claims that MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA has "systematically debunked" claims by anti-illegal immigration hosts.
