June 12, 2008 at 12:59 PM (PT)
Early this week, subscribers to the WINTER 2008 GREENVILLE-NEW BERN-JACKSONVILLE ARBITRON radio market report were sent a letter informing them a duplicate diary was filled out by a 37 year-old man who said he was one of two men living in the household (NET NEWS 6/9).
Now, subscribers to the WINTER 2008 FRESNO Radio Market Report have been sent a letter informing them ARBITRON has learned that two metro diaries were returned from a media-affiliated household. ARBITRON wrote, "We have confirmed that these diaries, which were in-tab for the originally published report, should not be included in the in-tab sample."
The letter continued, "A revised WINTER 2008 FRESNO Radio Market Report (ARBITRON eBook), based on an in-tab sample that excludes these diaries, will release on THURSDAY, JUNE 19th at Noon PT. Revised WINTER 2008 MAXIMI$ER, MEDIA PROFESSIONAL, TAPSCAN, and quarterly ARBITRENDS estimates will be available for download on JUNE 19th at NOON PT as well. A revised Summary Data Set will also release on June 19th to third-party processors and other original recipients."
Audience estimates for KSKS may be substantially affected, as this station received significant listening in the deleted diaries. Estimates for other stations, which received comparatively limited listening in these diaries, may also be affected.
