MAX MEDIA Rocker WXMM(100.5 MAX-FM)/NORFOLK-VIRGINIA BEACH, VA debuted a listener-based online interface recently. Listeners will be in full control of the music. 100.5 MAX-FM is utilizing the diverse musical tastes of its listeners to continue to provide great rock and roll for the VIRGINIA BEACH area.
The whole idea became global when BRIAN FARLEY, a VIRGINIA BEACH-based soldier in the U.S. NAVY serving in KUWAIT, got a taste of home by listening to 100.5 MAX-FM via Internet stream. FARLEY submitted a playlist to MAXFM.FM and had his hour of Rock N’ Roll broadcast around the world. He and his fellow service men and women listened intently to the stream as FARLEY’s hour of rock reached KUWAIT. His friends and family at home listened, too.
100.5 MAX-FM is the world's first station totally programmed by its listeners from around the world ... even in a war zone.
