CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX (THE BIG 98)/NASHVILLE afternoon duo BIG D & BUBBA sold 400 tickets in four hours for the station's St. JUDE DREAM HOME GIVEAWAY last THURSDAY (6/12), bringing in $40,000. ALLSTATE INSURANCE added $10,000 to that total, for an even $50,000 raised for St. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL.
Listeners can purchase tickets for $100 at www.wsix.com, and the tickets will be thrown into a drawing for a 3,800 square-foot "dream home" that has 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a bonus room, formal dining room, study, family room and breakfast area. The house is located in FRANKLIN, TN, near NASHVILLE, and is open for free tours. All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to St. JUDE.
PD KEITH KAUFMAN tells ALL ACCESS that last year a total of 12,400 DREAM HOME tickets were sold, raking in $1.24 million. As of yesterday (6/16) THE BIG 98 already beat last year's total, hitting the $1.3 million mark. There are 2972 tickets left to sell by this SUNDAY evening (6/22), and BIG D & BUBBA will co-host the culmination event with news anchors on WZTV (FOX 17-TV)/NASHVILLE at 6p (CT).
