Former SAGA COMMUNICATIONS Oldies KIOA/DES MOINES afternon host DIC YOUNGS is suing his former employers for age and disability discrimination.
YOUNGS retired last SEPTEMBER 29th after 41 years with the station, and the suit filed in POLK COUNTY District Court claims that YOUNGS was pushed into retirement at age 66 due to his age and an unnamed disability.
KIOA GM BILL WELLS told the DES MOINES REGISTER that he is "stunned by this. He told me that he wanted to retire." YOUNGS still works for the SAGA cluster as SATURDAY night host at Adult Standards KRNT-A.
