Is Radio Making Good On Integrating Into New Technology?

Industry vet DAVID MARTIN checks in with ALL ACCESS to say, "Got my second IPHONE the new 3G, this morning. Downloaded the AOL RADIO app. Enjoyed listening to a variety of CBS RADIO stations. Then, surprised to read online that broadcast radio was officially dead! This from folks listening to CBS RADIO via AOL RADIO. What? Duh!"
NAB/RAB/HD RADIO ALLIANCE RADIO 2020 creative guru KELLY O'KEFFE has posted his take via MARTIN's blog, writing:
"What this suggests is that those people (myself included) who won't give up their IPHONES and IPOD, prefer these devices with a healthy serving of radio. After all, AOL RADIO, mentioned above, is powered by broadcast radio. As I write this is the 7th most frequently downloaded free application. And APPLE boasts over 800 applications to choose from. The radio industry is making good on its promises to integrate radio with new technologies. Breaking down the IPHONE/IPOD barrier is big news. It's also big news that APPLE's top challengers are also adopting radio."
