CTV GLOBEMEDIA/CHUM RADIO OTTAWA Sports CFGO-A (THE TEAM 1200)/OTTAWA inks a multi-year extension to its contract to continue as the radio flagship for the NHL's OTTAWA SENATORS. The original 10 year deal with the SENS expired after last season.
"As the SENATORS' hockey flagship radio station, THE TEAM's audience has grown with the popularity and success of the hockey club," said SENS CEO/President ROY MLAKAR. "We believe that both groups have a perfect fit and bring multiple strengths and opportunities to each other, and we've worked together to enhance their programming inside and outside of game broadcasts."
"CHUM RADIO OTTAWA is very excited about extending our partnership with the OTTAWA SENATORS," said cluster President CHRIS GORDON. "With play-by-play of every game and wall-to-wall SENATORS coverage, THE TEAM 1200 is the radio home of hockey in the capital. And with special events on MAJIC 100, CFRA and 93.9 BOB FM, listeners will get more access than ever to their favorite team."
