You might have noticed something a little different about the yesterday's (7/28) release of BNA/NASHVILLE star KENNY CHESNEY's new single "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven." SONY BMG/NASHVILLE has confirmed that KENNY has a new imprint called BLUE CHAIR RECORDS, and that the single and forthcoming album, "Lucky Old Sun," are property of the imprint.
Under this new arrangement, BNA licenses CHESNEY's music through BLUE CHAIR for this album only; none of his future releases will be licensed this way. There are no plans to add staff or a roster of artists to the imprint. "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" impacts radio on AUGUST 10th. For more on KENNY, visit www.kennychesney.com.
