SOFTDRIVE RECORDS, brainchild of Rocker SCOTT WEILAND, front man for STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and VELVET REVOLVER, has gone Country. WEILAND started the label in 2006 with the intent of representing several different genres of music and he added Country to that list with the addition of his newest artist. On a trip to NASHVILLE recently, he discovered Country singer TOMMY JOE WILSON singing "Honky Tonk Woman" at the downtown MUSIC CITY club SECOND FIDDLE and signed him on the spot.
Handling things for SOFTDRIVE/NASHVILLE is former CUPIT RECORDS/NASHVILLE Exec. VP/Promotion BILLY HOLLAND. HOLLAND worked for CUPIT for seven years before leaving the label in MAY 2007, he also worked for RADIANCE RECORDS/NASHVILLE as GM for one month in OCTOBER 2007 before the label closed it's doors.
SOFTDRIVE/NASHVILLE is located at 38 Music Square East, Suite 111, NASHVILLE, TN 37203. HOLLAND can be reached at email@example.com or (615) 476-0938.
