Arbitron To Revise New Orleans Spring '08 Book
August 13, 2008 at 4:47 PM (PT)
ARBITRON has announced that it will be revising the NEW ORLEANS SPRING 2008 book due to station frequency changes. The book didn't take into account the facts that KKND at signed off the air at 106.7, then resurfaced at 102.9, while KMEZ moved from 102.9 to 106.7.
"SPRING 2008 audience estimates originally released for KKND and KMEZ did not appropriately reflect these changes," ABITRON noted in a press release. "For the originally-released report, listening for new station KKND (which signed on the air at 102.9 on MAY 20th) was combined with listening to KMEZ (which moved from 102.9) for the interval prior to MAY 20th; and listening for KMEZ-FM, after its frequency move to 106.7 on May 20th, was combined with listening to off-air station KKND (which had occupied 106.7) for the interval prior to MAY 20th."
A revised SPRING 2008 NEW ORLEANS Radio Market Report (Arbitron eBook) will be released on FRIDAY, AUGUST 15th, at noon CT. Audience estimates for stations other than KKND and KMEZ will not be affected.
