VIRTUALNEWSCENTER is swinging into action as Tropical Storm GUSTAV heads for the GULF COAST, providing enhanced programming to JEFFREY K. HAYNES' AC WFXX (FOX 107.7)/ANDALUSIA, AL at no charge. WFXX had signed up for the custom local news and weather service but had not yet implemented the programming in its lineup, preferring to wait until sponsorships could be sold.
VIRTUALNEWSCENTER ADVANTAGE WEATHER Chief Meteorologist RYAN MARTIN is tracking GUSTAV to make landfall near PENSACOLA MONDAY night with the storm's center passing near ANDALUSIA on the way to CHATTANOOGA on TUESDAY.
"We believe this is too important a situation to allow money to get in the way," said SCOTT ROBERTS, President of RADIO2DOT0, parent of VIRTUALNEWSCENTER and ADVANTAGE WEATHER. "I have complete confidence in RYAN's forecast and we are preparing to provide enhanced coverage for our other affiliates in ALABAMA, the state where we presently have the most station relationships."
