A medical helicopter transporting a 1-year-old patient to CHILDREN'S MEMORIAL HOSPITAL in CHICAGO struck a radio tower wire and crashed in AURORA late WEDNESDAY night, killing the baby girl and the three crew members on board, authorities said TODAY. WGN-TV/CHICAGO reports the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the crash.
MCNAUGHTON Talk WBIG-A/AURORA Pres. RICK JAKLE said the helicopter apparently clipped one of the wires supporting the station's 750-foot tower. The station was not broadcasting this morning, he said.
